PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Planning:
- Develops production related activities and action plans to accomplish their specific objectives which are contributory to the attainment of the department’s objectives.
- Develops and formulates production policies and procedures on production forecasts, quality standards, process flow and product deliveries.
- Validates and standardizes production process for production efficiency and consistency of product’s quality.
- Formulates guidelines on production operations schedules to meet customer’s demands.
- Determines guidelines plant capacity and make the necessary recommendations on equipment acquisition and manpower requisition to meet desired objectives.
- Ensures transfer of technology of new products from Research and Development to production.
Leading:
- Conducts regular briefing of employees.
- Conducts performance appraisals, counseling and recommends developmental plan of subordinates.
- Interviews, evaluates and select candidates vying for vacant position.
- Develops programs and conduct training on new system and procedures to Production Staff.
- Updates employees on new policies and changes in operations.
- Ensures that subordinates follow the company code of disciplines.
Organizing:
- Assist in the development of Production’s Organizational structure.
- Reviews existing manpower and approves manpower requirement based on process innovation and standardization.
- Ensures that the activities, tasks and standards of performance and results assigned to subordinates are understood and accepted.
- Directs and delegates task to employees.
- Assigns and monitors project studies and coordinates with other departments for support requirements.
- Decides and responsible for whatever results on customer complaints, order by customer, quality concerns, product recall and product release.
Controlling:
- Develops program on career path and monitors performance progress of rank and file.
- Develops performance standards based on company policies, annual plans and agreed timetables.
- Reviews and evaluates report of subordinates for proper and immediate action.
- Ensures inventories of finished goods and rank materials at optimum level.
- Ensures that required production output and expenses are met.
Technical:
- Conducts tests or experiments that aim to bring cost savings and improvements on the quality of existing products as necessary.
- Conducts troubleshooting on any deviations found in the machine, product formulation and production process that directly affects the quality of the products.
- Conduct assessment on reported incidents to ensure quality parameters for new products, quality maintenance and compliance to food safety requirements are followed and monitored in the respective area.
Qualifications:
- A graduate of Microbiology or Food Technology, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent work experience
- With at least 1-year experience in Manufacturing Industry is an advantage
- Strong Employee Relation skills
- Strong decision-making and leadership skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Has initiative, highly organized, and utilize good time management techniques to meet critical deadlines
