JOB DESCRIPTION
· Planning on how and when the work will be performed, including preparatory work that must be completed before the building starts.
· Setting a specific schedule with several deadlines for the various project that must be completed.
· Ensuring all projects are technically fit for purpose and meeting the statutory requirements.
· Defining the engineering organization charts, staffing, and personnel roles with the engineering discipline department.
· Ensuring the technical part of the contract review
· Participating in the induction of the engineering team through project engineering instructions and procedures.
· Ensuring effective interdisciplinary coordination in particular through the weekly meeting.
· Taking the necessary technical decisions in case of unresolved conflicts between disciplines.
· Ensuring effective technical coordination with the client's representative and as such participating in good communication with the client
· Supervising the initiation and maintenance of project files.
· Resolving disputes quickly and informally getting the proper technical input if necessary and keeping the job moving
· Preparing a daily list of tasks and delegating responsibilities.
· Participating to contract management by initiating, collecting, and consolidating the variation and change orders.
· Ensuring that the project complies with the National Building Code and other legal and regulatory requirements.
· Other duties that may be assigned from time to time
