Job Summary:
The Purchasing Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the procurement activities of Limketkai Sons, Inc. This role ensures that goods, materials, and services are purchased at the best possible value in terms of quality, cost, and timeliness, while maintaining compliance with company policies and industry standards. The Purchasing Manager will lead the procurement team, develop vendor relationships, and implement strategic sourcing initiatives to support operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness across the company’s business units.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Procurement & Sourcing
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with the company’s goals.
- Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms on price, quality, and delivery.
- Ensure timely procurement of materials, supplies, and services required for operations.
2. Supplier & Vendor Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with reliable suppliers and vendors.
- Regularly assess supplier performance in terms of quality, cost, and delivery.
- Resolve vendor disputes, delivery issues, and non-compliance concerns.
3. Policy Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies, audit requirements, and ethical standards.
- Identify risks in procurement processes and recommend corrective actions.
- Oversee contract management, purchase orders, and bid evaluations.
4. Budget & Cost Control
- Monitor purchasing budgets and implement cost-saving initiatives.
- Conduct market research to identify pricing trends and alternative suppliers.
- Ensure procurement activities contribute to overall financial efficiency.
5. Leadership & Team Management
- Supervise and mentor the purchasing team to ensure productivity and professional growth.
- Assign and monitor team tasks to meet deadlines and quality standards.
- Provide training on procurement policies, compliance, and negotiation skills.
6. Coordination & Reporting
- Work closely with Operations, Finance, Engineering, and other departments to align purchasing needs.
- Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, cost savings, supplier performance, and compliance findings.
- Present updates and recommendations to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in purchasing/procurement, with 2–3 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of procurement processes, vendor negotiations, and contract management.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Analytical and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving ability.
- Proficient in MS Office and procurement/ERP systems.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and organizational skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Php40,000.00 - Php55,000.00 per month
