What You'll Do in the Role
Marketing & Design (Primary Focus)
- Develop, plan, and schedule engaging content across all social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, TikTok), including graphic design, video snippets, and compelling captions.
- Design and produce a variety of marketing materials, including digital flyers, brochures, social media graphics, ad creatives, and email templates, ensuring brand consistency.
- Execute and manage email marketing campaigns, including the development and optimisation of drip campaigns and automated sequences for lead nurturing and client communication.
- Contribute to the strategic planning and execution of comprehensive marketing campaigns from concept to post-campaign analysis, aligning with brand voice and business objectives
- Monitor social media trends, analytics, and engagement to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
Sales & Client Support
- Provide professional and prompt responses to client inquiries, ensuring an exceptional client experience.
- Maintain and update the CRM system with accurate client information and interactions.
- Prepare detailed quotes and proposals to support the sales process. (Initially, you will not be communicating directly with clients, but will eventually learn to manage client interactions independently.)
Administrative Support
- Coordinate and schedule appointments and meetings as required.
- Manage basic invoicing and payment tracking using Xero or similar bookkeeping software.
- Handle email correspondence and general administrative tasks to ensure smooth business operations.
Skills /Qualifications
- 4-5 years of proven experience in a digital marketing, social media management, graphic design, or virtual assistant role, preferably within the events or wedding industry.
- Proven expertise in graphic design with proficiency in tools like Canva, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar, capable of creating visually appealing digital and print materials.
- Demonstrated experience in social media management, including content creation, scheduling (e.g., Later, Hootsuite), community engagement, and understanding of platform analytics.
- Proficiency in email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign) with experience in setting up and managing email campaigns, including drip campaigns and automation.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing principles and best practices.
- Working knowledge of Xero or similar bookkeeping software.
- Experience using CRM systems for client tracking and quote generation.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and brand voice.
- Highly organised, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
