Job Summary:
We are looking for a detail-oriented Strata Accountant to manage and maintain the financial health of our clients' strata accounts. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in property or strata accounting and a passion for accuracy and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and deliver accurate monthly financial reports for strata corporations
- Process accounts payable and receivable, including reconciliations
- Manage trust accounts in compliance with strata regulations
- Draft and review annual budgets and financial statements
- Assist with audit preparations and liaise with auditors
- Coordinate with property managers and clients regarding financial queries
- Maintain ledgers, journals, and general financial records
- Process levy notices, monitor payments, and follow up on arrears
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in strata or property accounting
- Familiarity with trust accounting and strata legislation is an advantage
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., StrataMax, Strata Master, MYOB, Xero, or QuickBooks)
- Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
