Job Summary:
The Structural Fitter is responsible for assembling and fitting structural metal components based on drawings and specifications. Ensures all parts are aligned, secured, and meet quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings and blueprints
- Measure, cut, and fit steel parts according to specifications.
- Align and tack-weld parts using tools and equipment
- Inspect assembled components to ensure and maintain a clean work area
- Coordinate with welders, foreman, and other team members
Qualifications:
- High school graduate or vocational course in metalwork/fabrication
- At least 1 year experience as a structural fitter
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Knowledge of hand and power tools used in fitting
- Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials
