Job Summary:
Manages the assigned selling area by ensuring operational efficiency, adherence to company standards, and staff performance. The Area Supervisor is also responsible for staff training, inventory accuracy, and maintaining a customer-centric environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Acts as the Branch Trainer for new employees, ensuring consistent onboarding and skills development.
- Mentors, coaches, and motivates team members to achieve performance targets and uphold company goals
- Evaluates the performance of subordinates and provides constructive feedback for continuous improvement.
- Prepares work schedules and assignments for staff within the area.
- Manages daily operations in the assigned selling area, ensuring compliance with company standards and policies.
- Oversees the execution of merchandising guidelines, inventory activities, and adherence to display and signage standards.
- Reports daily operations, issues, and recommendations to the Assistant Selling Area Manager (ASAM) or Selling Area Manager (SAM).
- Ensures proper documentation of incidents, delivery discrepancies, and area concerns for appropriate action.
- Promotes effective communication within the team to support smooth coordination of tasks and responsibilities.
- Delivers high-quality service to internal and external customers by resolving concerns and maintaining a welcoming shopping environment.
- Ensures that customer needs are addressed promptly and courteously, including assistance at the counter area.
- Leads inventory activities, including stock counts, delivery checks, and stock replenishment within the assigned area.
- Creates stock requests based on sales trends and inventory levels to support availability and minimize out-of-stocks.
- Ensures accurate counter-checking of deliveries and correct processing of related warehouse activities.
- Maintains full, clean, and visually appealing displays aligned with visual merchandising standards.
- Ensures the accuracy of price tags, barcodes, detectors, and promotional materials.
- Recommends layout improvements or space optimization ideas to ASAM/SAM based on product movement and customer behavior.
- Proficient in navigating store operating systems (e.g., POS, inventory systems) for managing tasks such as stock monitoring and barcode printing.
- Ensures proper implementation of operational processes in coordination with warehouse and merchandising teams.
- Maintains orderliness and cleanliness within the area to uphold hygiene and safety standards.
- Supports barcode printing and labeling activities to ensure pricing accuracy.
- Organizes and prioritizes tasks to meet store objectives efficiently.
- Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Job Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of any 4-year course (Business, Marketing, Retail Management, or related fields preferred)
- Experience: At least 1–2 years of experience in a retail selling environment, with supervisory or team leader responsibilities
- Willing to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Must be willing to be assigned to any store branch as needed
