The Warehouseman is responsible for handling the receipt, storage, inventory, and dispatch of materials and finished furniture products. The role ensures accurate recordkeeping, proper handling and safekeeping of items, and coordination with production, logistics, and site teams to support timely deliveries and installations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming raw materials, hardware, and finished goods, ensuring correct quantity and quality.
- Check delivery documents (PO, DR, SI) against actual deliveries and report discrepancies.
- Safely store materials and products using appropriate labeling and stacking methods.
- Issue materials to production and items for site delivery following approved request forms.
- Conduct periodic physical inventory and reconcile with system records.
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness, orderliness, and safety at all times.
- Monitor stock levels and alert supervisor on low inventory or overstock.
- Assist in loading/unloading items and preparing goods for dispatch to project sites.
- Ensure proper documentation and filing of warehouse records.
- Comply with safety guidelines in handling heavy and sensitive furniture items.
- Support warehouse audits and assist in organizing materials for faster retrieval.
Qualifications:
- High school graduate; vocational or TESDA certification is a plus.
- At least 1–2 years of experience in warehousing or inventory handling, preferably in furniture or construction-related industries.
- Physically fit and able to lift and carry heavy items.
- Basic knowledge of warehouse procedures, inventory control, and documentation.
- Familiarity with tools, fittings, and furniture materials is an advantage.
- Can read and understand basic product codes and delivery forms.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and dependable.
- Willing to work extended hours when needed and adapt to shifting warehouse priorities.
