About the Role
SmartSourcing is looking for an experienced Academy Manager to lead the operations and curriculum development of the SmartSourcing Academy. This role is critical in executing the Academy's long-term vision and aligning its learning initiatives with business growth, talent strategy, and client needs. The Academy Manager will serve as a strategic learning partner, overseeing end-to-end learning and development (L&D) functions including training needs analysis, certification programs, and curriculum design tailored to both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Curriculum Strategy & Development
- Design and implement strategic, client-aligned curricula that support internal growth and client training needs.
End-to-End L&D Management
- Lead the execution of training programs, including delivery, assessment, reporting, and certification.
Training Needs Analysis (TNA)
- Partner with business units and clients to assess learning gaps and tailor solutions for both internal teams and external partners.
Business Development & Stakeholder Engagement
- Position the Academy as a strategic asset by engaging universities, industry associations, and clients. Represent SmartSourcing in external learning and development forums such as the Philippine Society for Training and Development.
People Leadership
- Lead and coach a team of L&D professionals. Build a high-performing training function aligned with workforce planning in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
Data-Driven Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Monitor training effectiveness and continuously refine learning initiatives through feedback, metrics, and business impact analysis.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in HR, Education, Psychology, or Business)
- Strong background in curriculum design, training delivery, and learning evaluation
- Experience in HR or Learning & Development roles with stakeholder management responsibility
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to network and influence across internal teams and external clients, universities, and industry groups
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing a training academy or center of learning
- Professional L&D certification (e.g., CPTD, DDI, ATD)
- Familiarity with Philippine L&D industry best practices and university partnerships
