Accounting Assistant – Disbursement / Operations

Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accounting Assistant – Disbursement/Operations to join our Finance team at Le Soleil de Boracay. This role plays a vital part in ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and compliance of our financial transactions. You will be responsible for handling disbursements, managing payables, processing guest refunds, and supporting day-to-day accounting functions in a dynamic hospitality environment.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:Disbursement and Payables
- Process accounts payable transactions for both Head Office and property using ERP systems
- Prepare manual payment requests for approved transactions
- Create and submit APV summaries to Head Office for processing
- Print proof of payment and prepare BIR Form 2307
- Post payments into the accounting system (PJ module)
- Prepare payment summaries and endorsement reports for approval
- Monitor vendor payables and ensure timely disbursements
- Process guest refunds promptly and accurately
- Extract and generate withholding tax reports
Other Accounting Tasks
- Act as custodian of Petty Cash Fund (PCF) and House Marketing Fund
- Prepare replenishment reports for PCF and Marketing Fund
- Process reimbursements and liquidation of cash advances
- Post transactions in the accounting system
- Assist with deposit collections and daily cash counts
- Support Income Audit team when needed
- Perform other finance-related tasks as assigned
Qualifications:
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Financial Management, or a related field
- Experience:
1–2 years of work experience in the same or related role
(Preferably in the hotel or hospitality industry, but not required)
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in accounting systems or ERP platforms
- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles
- Knowledge in BIR forms and tax-related compliance is a plus
