The Disbursement Accounting Officer is responsible for overseeing and managing the disbursement process of the organization, ensuring accurate and timely payments to vendors, employees, and other stakeholders. This role involves processing invoices, managing payment schedules, maintaining records, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Disbursement Processing:
- Ensure all disbursements are completed within the prescribed timelines and accurately recorded in the accounting system.
- Assist and supervise the disbursement of loan proceeds and budget or expenses to the intended recipients (e.g., borrowers, departments, vendors).
- Review and verify loan disbursement requests for accuracy, proper authorization and documentation and compliance with company policies
- Oversee the monitoring of payments to stockholders (e.g. roll over checks, incentives, per diem, directors fee, etc.)
2. Compliance and Internal Controls:
- Ensure that all disbursement activities comply with internal controls, financial policies, and legal requirements.
- Assist in the preparation and review of payment-related documents for audits and compliance reviews.
3. Reconciliation and Reporting:
- Assist with preparing financial reports related to disbursements and payments for internal stakeholders and external auditors.
- Maintain detailed and organized records of all disbursements and related documentation.
- Identify and address any discrepancies or irregularities in payment records.
4. Collaboration and Communication:
- Coordination with other departments, including procurement, human resources, and operations, to ensure seamless disbursement processes.
5. Team Management:
- Leads the disbursement team, ensuring that they are properly trained and following established procedures for processing loan proceeds.
- Foster a positive, collaborative team environment.
- Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and offer professional development opportunities for team members.
6. Other Supporting Accounting Functions:
- Prepare ad hoc reports
Key Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- With 2-4 years of experience in accounting or financial operations, with a focus on payment processing or disbursements.
- Proficient Microsoft office skills
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: Php24,000.00 - Php28,000.00 per month
