Job Summary:
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Staff to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting and clerical tasks to support accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records and reports
- Record day-to-day financial transactions (e.g., purchases, receipts, payments)
- Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
- Prepare and process invoices, vouchers, and official receipts
- Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash balances
- Maintain and update accounting databases and spreadsheets
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities
- Ensure accurate and timely encoding of data
- Support the team during audits and in preparing tax documents
- Perform other related tasks as assigned by the Finance Officer or Accounting Head
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Accounting Technology, or a related field
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar role is preferred (fresh graduates may also apply)
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Proficient in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team
