Job Summary:
The Accounting Staff is responsible for performing a variety of accounting, bookkeeping, and financial tasks to support the Finance and Accounting Department. This includes preparing financial records and reports, reconciling bank statements, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring the accuracy of financial data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
- Maintain and update accounting records and files.
- Prepare journal entries, ledgers, and other financial statements.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of account balances.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Process invoices, payments, and expenses in a timely manner.
- Assist in payroll preparation and statutory contributions.
- Monitor and maintain office inventory of accounting supplies and documents.
- Support audits and liaise with internal or external auditors as required.
- Comply with financial policies, regulations, and internal controls.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in accounting or bookkeeping is a plus.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, SAP).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred:
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is an advantage.
- Familiarity with government tax filing and compliance processes (e.g., BIR, SSS, Pag-IBIG)
