An Accounting Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing accounting daily operations within EDL Farms and Feed Manufacturing Inc., ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with regulations. Supervise accounting staff, develop and implement accounting policies, and contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
o Supervise daily accounting operations including timely posting of journal entries and reconciliation accounts.
o Ensure month-end close activities (accruals, income/expense, depreciation, adjustment inventory, bad debts, etc.)
o Reconcile key accounts (bank accounts, RF, AR/AP Aging, Payroll, Loans & other liabilities).
o Collect actual expenses and revenue from SAP (Monthly/Quarterly/Yearly).
o Compare budget versus actual per account category, department.
o Determine the significant variances (Over/Under spending).
o Prepare summary report (budget vs. actual).
o Coordinate with every department and update forecast.
o Lead and manage accounting team, assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide guidance.
o Participate in cross functional meetings to address order-related-challenges and optimize processes.
o Conduct regular audits to validate order accuracy and compliance with company policies.
o And other task assigned from time-to time.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education & Certification
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA license is an advantage).
- Additional certifications in financial management or auditing are a plus.
Experience
- At least 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, with 1–2 years in a supervisory or team lead role.
- Strong background in general accounting, financial reporting, and reconciliation.
- Experience in SAP or similar ERP systems and knowledge of accounting software/tools.
Technical Skills
- Proficient in financial reporting, reconciliations, and budget preparation.
- Solid knowledge of Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS), tax laws, and regulatory compliance.
- Advanced MS Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, financial modeling).
- Strong understanding of month-end/year-end closing processes.
Leadership & Management Skills
- Ability to supervise and mentor accounting staff, monitor performance, and provide guidance.
- Skilled in assigning tasks, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
