- Maintain accurate accounting records, general ledger entries, and trial balances based on proper journalization of transactions.
- Prepare and file BIR returns such as VAT (2550M/2550Q), Expanded Withholding Tax (1601-EQ), Compensation Withholding Tax (1601-C), Annual Income Tax Return (1701/1702), and others within prescribed deadlines.
- Manage tax compliance schedules and BIR audit documentation requirements (SAWT, SLSP, Alphalist, etc.).
- Reconcile input/output VAT, withholding taxes, and income taxes against ERP records and official receipts.
- Monitor tax payments and ensure all tax returns are submitted and paid electronically via eFPS/eBIRForms.
- Provide assistance in external and internal audits, BIR assessments, and financial report reviews.
- Ensure that all accounting entries follow proper chart of accounts structure within the ERP system.
- Coordinate with procurement, logistics, and HR to ensure proper tax treatment of purchases, benefits, and reimbursements.
- Maintain organized digital and hardcopy files for BIR audit readiness and internal documentation control.
- Stay updated with changes in Philippine tax laws, BIR issuances, and relevant business regulations.
Job Summary:
- The Accounting and Tax Officer is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, statutory tax compliance, and accounting documentation in accordance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS), BIR regulations, and internal ERP processes. This role requires a high degree of accuracy, integrity, and attention to detail, especially in maintaining clean books of accounts, filing monthly/quarterly taxes, and ensuring proper ERP encoding and reconciliation.
Qualifications:
- Must be a Graduate of BS Accountancy
- With at least 3-5 years of experience in the related field
- Can use different accounting tools such as; but not limited to; (Sap, SQL, & Odoo)
- Proficient in using Microsoft offices (Excel, Word, PPT, Outlook)
