Job Brief
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Officer to manage daily sales and accounts payable processes across multiple sites. The ideal candidate will have strong data entry accuracy, exceptional organisational skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with both internal teams and external suppliers. This role requires proficiency in Xero and a proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable Management
- Process daily sales transactions for various sites with speed and accuracy
- Enter bills into multiple Xero files, ensuring compliance with company procedures
- Manage accounts payable workflows, from invoice receipt through to payment processing
- Reconcile supplier statements at month-end, ensuring all records are accurate and up to date
- Supplier & Internal Communications
- Correspond with external suppliers to resolve AP invoice issues promptly
- Confirm and verify new supplier bank account details via phone before processing payments
- Liaise with internal staff (corporate and site-based) to obtain timely approval for invoices
Requirements:
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and reconciliation practices
- Proven experience working in a multi-entity or multi-site environment
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
- Strong communication skills for liaising with suppliers and internal teams
Desirable:
- Experience working in an Australian accounts environment
- Familiarity with supplier onboarding processes and compliance requirements
Software Proficiency:
- Xero – Required
- Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets – Required
- Google Workspace / Microsoft Office – Required
Education:
- Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred

- Proactive problem-solver – resolves issues before they escalate
- Clear communicator – confident in phone and written correspondence with suppliers and colleagues
- Team player – collaborates effectively with finance and operational staff across multiple locations
