Role description:
- Typically assigned to support smaller complex projects or elements of larger less complex projects
- Undertake a development role, contributing to client CAD / BIM work under general supervision and developing skills
Role accountabilities:
- Perform role in accordance with the Arcadis behavioural framework
- Develop and maintain technical knowledge (for example national regulations, regulatory guidance, national standards, codes of practice and Arcadis procedures) to ensure ongoing personal effectiveness
- Support the production of project deliverables including drawings and models that are accurate, clear and concise and compliant with Arcadis drafting standards and best practice under general supervision using available expertise on routine tasks
- Deliver work that meet client and Arcadis requirements
- Contribute to CAD deliverables including sketches, schematic drawings and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced CAD Technician or engineer
- Develop technical software skills within the role
- Check own work ahead of production checking
- Successfully complete assigned technical tasks work within budget and deadlines
- Commit to receiving on the job technical training by performing tasks, which are under the direct supervision of more experienced staff within well-defined limits
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline
- May be Licensed or working to become licensed within 2 years
- Extend awareness of Arcadis Integrated Management System requirements
- Have awareness of CDM Regulations and the use of hazard identification and risk assessment during design development
- Have a knowledge of Health and Safety regulations and guidelines
- Have an awareness of use of project Design Decision Logs and Project Assumptions registers to record and agree key project decisions
- Develop proficiency in relevant desktop applications
- Have effective time management skill
