The Asset and Liabilities Lead will be responsible for managing the organization’s balance sheet to optimize financial performance, liquidity, and risk management. Oversees strategies for maintaining a balanced relationship between the company’s assets and liabilities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and implementing effective risk management practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement Assets and Liabilities Management strategies to ensure a balanced and profitable structure.
- Ensure optimal utilization of assets while managing liabilities effectively.
- Maintain sufficient liquidity to meet operational and financial obligations.
- Oversee the preparation and review of cash flow forecasts.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to the balance sheet, such as credit risk and market risk.
- Stay updated with regulatory frameworks and ensure compliance with all applicable laws.
- Prepare and present risk management reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Analyze asset and liability trends and recommend strategies to enhance financial performance.
- Provide insights on capital structure optimization, including debt and equity management.
- Work closely with treasury, finance, risk, and other departments to align Assets and Liabilities Management strategies.
- Build relationships with external stakeholders such as banks, regulators, and auditors.
- Manage and mentor a team member.
- Provide training and development to enhance team capabilities in Assets and Liabilities Management practices.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field (MBA or CFA preferred).
- 3+ years of experience in asset and liability management, treasury, or a related financial role.
- Strong knowledge of financial instruments, markets, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, Assets and Liabilities Management tools, and risk management systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership and communication abilities.
