The Team:
The Financial Modeling team is the primary touchpoint for our clients and is the “face” of the company. This team is an integral part of the business decision-making process of our clients. The financial models built allow our clients to explore the impact of different situations like operational or financial scenarios for the business i.e. in Merger and Acquisition, Project Finance, DCF Modeling, and so on. The financial models built by the team are widely used by Investment Banks, Private Equity firms, Credit Rating Agencies, Equity Research, Mutual Funds, Project Finance companies, etc.

Our team is seeking an Assistant Manager who can cultivate relationships with various teams across our organization, including Client Services, UAT, Technology, Sales, Relationship Management, and Product Management. An ideal candidate for this position will understand the day-to-day dynamics of the teams, as well as be a competent leader to be able to provide guidance that enhances performance of the team in a manner, which incorporates the company’s vision and culture. This will result in developing key skills such as time management, decision-making, stakeholder management, project management, communication and problem solving. Principal Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of Associates & Specialists and contribute towards achieving strong business results.
- Mentor, Coach and Develop team members, which include their career development, talent pipeline, goal-setting and performance evaluations.
- Identify training opportunities, knowledge deficiencies within the group; plan and execute improvement areas independently.
- Develop Financial Models using our plug-in products for internal/external clients to aid them in their routine workflow and analysis.
- Direct interaction with clients, through phone, email and video conferences, as they relate to industry, platform and data questions. In general, support client base in their research by responding to their requests that come through calls, e-mails and other forms of communication.
- Work with product teams on timely basis and perform thorough testing of S&P Global Market Intelligence products, with an eye towards the premium client experience.
- Define best practices, processes & functional requirements required to evolve the procedures and documentation across the Industry and Cross-content groups to meet the standards of S&P Global Market Intelligence and our Clients.
- Achieve a satisfactory level of technical and professional skill or knowledge in a position related area; keep up with the current developments and trends in areas of expertise; use newly gained knowledge and skills on the job and learn through application.
- Make proactive suggestions for product enhancements/suggestions for ease of use and intuitiveness.
- Effective resource management in providing our services with a laser-focused approach to quality & timely delivery.
- Promote lean and automation culture within the team and act as a catalyst for idea generation & new initiatives.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics or related business field.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience working with people and our products.
- Significant Project Management, Strategic Planning, Operations Management, and Client Support Management skills.
- Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal skills & strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong technical skills preferred – Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word, PPT, VBA and Salesforce.
- Experience supporting clients is a strong advantage.
- Understanding of different requirement of clients and how they use and analyze our models
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize
- Successfully implemented business improvements across multiple areas of the business.
- Strong team player with excellent people skills. Ability to build good relationships at all levels, locally as well as globally.
- Experience in dealing with different product suites and databases.
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts, including night shifts.
