Job Title
The primary function of the Associate Technical Writer (Trainee) is to provide product documentation for external customers and internal employees. This position requires the writer to review technical documents and work closely with functional and technical resources to effectively organize the information into usable documentation, including written documentation and online information. The writer is expected to be able to create documentation on various Digital Services projects and the Digital Platform products.
- Produce deliverables that include written documentation, online information, and release notes.
- Update and refine existing documentation, or migrate older documentation into a single-sourced, topic-based documentation.
- Review existing functional and technical documents and convert them into a more usable high-level documentation.
- Work closely with the Development and Product teams, and potentially other groups to gather information.
- Understand and adhere to project processes and procedures.
- Adhere to defined templates, procedures and processes for content design.
- Report to the Business Analysis and Solutions Manager and give regular status updates on the assigned tasks.
- Proactively raise issues and impediments that may affect deliverables.
- Adhere to Navitaire policies and standards.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
