What you'll be doing
- Operate backhoe equipment to excavate, load, and move materials at construction sites
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on assigned equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to protect yourself, your team, and the work environment
- Collaborate with other construction personnel to coordinate operations and achieve project goals
- Maintain detailed records of work activities, equipment usage, and any reported issues
- Continuously develop your skills and knowledge to stay up-to-date with industry best practices
What we're looking for
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Backhoe Operator in the construction industry
- Proven ability to safely operate and maintain backhoe equipment
- Strong understanding of construction methods, safety regulations, and equipment operation
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills to handle unexpected situations
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with the wider construction team
- Commitment to safety and attention to detail in all aspects of the job
