Position Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to manage our day-to-day financial transactions and bookkeeping activities using Xero accounting software. You will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with company policies. This position is critical to our financial operations and will help Switch Technologies scale efficiently as we grow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Record and process daily transactions including invoices, bills, receipts, and payments using Xero
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable in Xero
- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations regularly
- Maintain vendor and customer accounts, ensuring accuracy of records
- Assist with employee expense claims and payroll data entry as required
- Organize and maintain financial documentation
- Support month-end close by preparing reports and reconciling accounts
- Collaborate with finance team for timely submission of reports and audits
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Bookkeeper using Xero
- Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles and procedures
- Accurate and detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines independently
- Proficient English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Familiarity with Australian accounting and tax regulations is an advantage
