The Business Development Officer is responsible for identifying business growth opportunities, building strong client relationships, and promoting the company’s products or services. This role involves market research, lead generation, proposal preparation, and strategic partnership development to drive revenue and meet organizational targets.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through networking, cold calling, digital marketing, and referrals.
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of potential clients and strategic partners.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
- Conduct meetings, presentations, and negotiations to close deals.
- Gather market intelligence and analyze industry trends to identify potential growth areas.
- Monitor competitor activities and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Prepare business proposals, presentations, and contracts for potential clients.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure client requirements are met.
- Assist in developing sales strategies and business development plans.
- Prepare regular reports on sales performance, forecasts, and market feedback.
- Work closely with marketing, operations, and finance teams to align goals.
- Participate in trade fairs, networking events, and conferences to promote the company.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Management, or related field.
- At least 1–3 years of experience in sales, marketing, or business development (industry-specific experience preferred).
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with CRM software.
