Job Summary:
Leads and oversees the daily operations of the counter area, ensuring service excellence, compliance with standard procedures, and smooth coordination with related departments. The Counter Area Supervisor is responsible for managing cashier and bagger performance, handling customer concerns, and ensuring all counter-related systems and processes are executed effectively.
Job Responsibilities:
- Ensures consistent delivery of quality customer service to both internal and external customers.
- Provides direct and responsive customer support to address concerns and enhance service experience.
- Prepares and manages work schedules for assigned personnel, ensuring adequate coverage and efficiency.
- Submits daily operational reports and updates to the Assistant Selling Area Manager (ASAM) or Selling Area Manager (SAM).
- Leads and supervises all counter staff, ensuring proper task delegation and performance management.
- Oversees and enforces compliance with counter area opening and closing standard operating procedures.
- Ensures the standard counter display is complete, clean, and aligned with store guidelines.
- Coaches and develops cashiers in product knowledge and store procedures to improve service accuracy and efficiency.
- Handles customer issues in the counter area, making sound decisions to resolve concerns professionally and promptly.
- Authorizes and validates non-cash payment transactions according to store policy.
- Approves counter transactions resulting in negative balances, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Leads regular pep talks and provides ongoing coaching to improve the performance and morale of all counter personnel.
- Evaluates the performance of all subordinates to support their development and ensure alignment with store expectations.
- Reports incidents or irregularities in the counter area to the appropriate personnel for resolution.
- Able to meet deliverables as scheduled
- Supervise the safety of workplace
- Performs other tasks and assignments as delegated by higher management to support overall store operations.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field (preferred).
- At least 2–3 years of experience in cashiering, front-end operations, or supervisory role in retail/hospitality.
- Proven experience in customer service handling, cash management, and staff supervision.
- Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Knowledge of counter operations, POS systems, and store procedures.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure.
- High integrity, professionalism, and service-oriented mindset.
- Physically fit for prolonged standing and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Willing to work on shifting schedules, weekends, and holidays.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: Php14,000.00 - Php16,000.00 per month
