Medical Administrative Assistant (Disability Paperwork & Insurance Eligibility)
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 PM – 6:00 AM (PH Time)
We’re hiring a Medical Administrative Assistant to support our team with disability paperwork, insurance eligibility checks, patient communication, and daily coordination. This role is ideal for someone with direct experience handling disability-related forms and a background in healthcare insurance eligibility, especially those who’ve worked with incoming documentation from patients and verified eligibility for services or benefits.
Main Goal
To support patients and internal teams by managing disability documentation, verifying insurance eligibility, and ensuring accurate and timely communication. You will play a key role in helping patients navigate the medical leave process while keeping everything compliant and organized.
Key Responsibilities
Disability Paperwork & Insurance Eligibility
- Receive and review incoming FMLA/disability paperwork from patients
- Accurately complete and submit required documents for medical leave or disability claims
- Verify healthcare insurance eligibility and coverage details
- Coordinate with providers and insurance companies to clarify or resolve eligibility concerns
- Track outstanding or incomplete documentation and follow up as needed
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and all confidentiality protocols
Phone & Patient Communication
- Handle inbound and outbound calls professionally, assisting patients with form completion, updates, or clarifications
- Send appointment confirmations, form reminders, and follow-ups via call or text
- Log all patient interactions and documentation accurately in system
General Admin & Coordination
- Keep digital files organized and up to date (forms, communications, patient records)
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure all documentation and eligibility checks are complete
- Use internal systems and tools to support and streamline administrative workflows
What We’re Looking For
Experience & Skills
- Required: Experience handling disability paperwork and verifying healthcare insurance eligibility
- Background in healthcare administrative support or call center servicing medical offices or insurance providers
- Confident using VoIP phone systems (RingCentral preferred)
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills
- Able to handle confidential medical information with discretion
Communication & Reliability
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Clear, confident phone communication with a professional tone
- Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently in a remote environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Php35,000.00 per month
