Job Description
The Company Nurse assumes the crucial role of providing comprehensive healthcare services to all employees of NMS. Their responsibilities extend beyond immediate healthcare needs and encompass the development and implementation of health and safety programs.
- Provide necessary first aid treatments, medications, and medical advice/counseling to all NMS employees.
- Control and monitor the dispensing of medicines and other medical supplies to employees; making sure that the inventory of clinic supplies is kept updated at all times.
- Strictly implement and monitor all health and safety guidelines; making sure that it is being adhered to by all employees, especially Anti-COVID protocols.
- Coordinate with partner clinics regarding pre-employment medical exams of new hires to ensure compliance with the Department of Labor and Employment’s (DOLE) reportorial requirements.
- Ensure compliance with reports relating, but not limited, to Occupational Health and Safety, Labor Standards, and Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) reportorial and monitoring requirements.
- Liaise with the Benefits Administrator for purposes of filing Social Security System (SSS) claims and benefits, this includes preparing a compiled documentary requirement of concerned employees.
- Confers/consults with superior any matters concerning the proper interpretation and treatment of company benefits such as SSS, ECC, PhilHealth, HDMF, and HMO benefits.
- Receive and authenticate/validate with corresponding medical institution/clinic all documentation submitted by employees who went on sick leave.
- Notify superior/s about any discrepancies arising from the filing of leaves, and authentication of received documentation while maintaining the accuracy and integrity of spreadsheet trackers and the 201 files in the HR Application of concerned employees.
- Conduct audit of actual sick leave application against the submitted medical documentation or proof for the said type of leave of absence.
- Assist employees in availing medical services through HMO accredited hospitals.
- Assist in facilitating Company’s Annual Physical Examination.
- Assist with Employee Relations issues such as addressing employee concerns, development, and implementation of HR policies, etc.
- Organize or implement various initiatives and activities for promoting the health and wellness of all employees.
- Liaise with the Company’s contact tracing team in the event that a Covid-positive case has been made known.
Job Requirements
- Must be a Registered Nurse
- With pleasing personality
- With Standard First Aid and Basic Life Support Training
- Computer Literate
- Good Communication Skills
- Must have 40 hrs. Basic Occupational Safety and Health for nurses (BOSH) Certificate
- Must be an OHNAP(Occupational Health Nurses Association of the Philippines) member
