**Position Overview:**
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Construction Timekeeper to join our construction team. The Construction Timekeeper will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and efficient tracking of employee time and attendance on construction sites. This position requires meticulous record-keeping, adherence to project schedules, and effective communication with various stakeholders.
**Responsibilities:**
1. **Time and Attendance Tracking:**
- Maintain accurate records of employee work hours, including regular hours, overtime, and absences.
- Collect and compile timesheets from construction workers and ensure they are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Record and track project-specific timekeeping data for accurate cost allocation.
2. **Payroll Coordination:**
- Collaborate with the payroll department to provide timely and accurate employee time data for payroll processing.
- Verify and cross-check timesheet data to ensure consistency and resolve discrepancies as needed.
3. **Project Schedule Adherence:**
- Assist in monitoring project schedules and deadlines to ensure that construction workers are adhering to the established timelines.
- Notify supervisors or project managers of any potential delays caused by attendance issues or timekeeping discrepancies.
4. **Timekeeping System Management:**
- Utilize timekeeping software or systems to record and track employee work hours efficiently.
- Troubleshoot any issues with the timekeeping system and work with IT support if necessary.
5. **Compliance and Reporting:**
- Ensure compliance with relevant labor laws and regulations regarding timekeeping and attendance.
- Generate regular reports on employee attendance, overtime, and other time-related metrics for management review.
6. **Communication and Support:**
- Communicate with construction workers regarding timekeeping procedures, deadlines, and any changes to the process.
- Provide support and guidance to construction workers on using the timekeeping system effectively.
7. **Record Maintenance:**
- Maintain organized and up-to-date records of employee time and attendance data.
- Safeguard confidentiality of sensitive timekeeping information.
