The Content Project Specialist role at Study.com involves onboarding and supporting a talented international group of video creators, scriptwriters, and video editors to create high-quality, impactful videos to support our company mission of making education accessible to all. Successful candidates will be strong multi-taskers with exceptional English language abilities who can balance quality and efficiency as we work to produce world-class educational content.
The contractor will be expected to work Tuesday-Saturday 3:30AM - 12:00PM Manila time. Additionally, they will need to use their own computer and have reliable access to high-speed internet. What You'll Do:- Support the development of video content for Study.com and marketing channels, with a strong emphasis on optimizing for YouTube engagement and discoverability.
- Onboard and support a group of video creators and video editors to ensure high-quality and efficient video creation
- Experiment with a wide range of video content formats adapted to each target channel, including formats inspired by successful content outside of traditional educational content (e.g., listicles, explainers, visual essays, "study with me").
- Leverage AI and tech tools to streamline production and improve video quality.
- Provide ongoing feedback, direction, and performance analysis to enhance content strategy.
- Monitor trends and platform updates to drive innovation and viewer engagement.
- Provide clear and ongoing support, feedback, and troubleshooting for freelancers
- Communicate production rates, obstacles, and resource requests to team lead proactively
- Bring a strong perspective on what makes video content hook viewers, including scripting techniques, editing and pacing strategies, and visual structure.
- Leverage performance data to identify effective video formats, run content experiments, and iteratively refine our strategy through insight-driven ideation
What You'll Bring to the Role:
- 2–3 years of experience in video creation (preferably academic or informational) with a strong understanding of YouTube ecosystem.
- Skilled in sourcing and guiding video content creators to produce engaging, platform-optimized content.
- Proficient in Adobe Premiere and familiar with other editing and graphics tools.
- Experienced in scripting, storyboarding, producing videos, and collaborating with editors.
- Data-savvy and comfortable running content experiments to improve engagement and retention.
- Strong creative instincts with a passion for trends, effective titling, thumbnails, and pacing.
