We are seeking a skilled and passionate Cook to prepare delicious meals according to menu specifications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring food safety, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook menu items following recipes and quality standards.
- Ensure food is cooked and presented in an appealing manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including sanitizing workstations.
- Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations.
- Manage food storage and inventory, minimizing waste.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen staff and follow instructions from chefs or kitchen managers.
- Handle kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Assist in menu planning and suggest improvements.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a cook or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of various cooking techniques and kitchen equipment.
- Understanding of food safety regulations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Culinary training or relevant certification is a plus.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Lifting and carrying heavy pots, pans, or food items.
- Working in hot and busy kitchen environments.
