- Ensures the availability and timely delivery of all drilling materials through proper inventory, planning and execution of procurement for all drilling materials.
- Supports the materials planner in procurement strategies, sourcing opportunities and management of suppliers along with the maintenance of the delivery pipeline.
- Works hand-in-hand with the Business Unit's Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and SAMDI warehouses on inventory management.
- Ensure the proper acceptance and documentation of delivered materials, verifying compliance with quality standards and specifications.
- Conduct quality checks on materials before dispatch to rig and non-rig operations, identifying any defects or issues that need addressing.
- Maintain accurate records of material acceptance, quality control inspections, and inventory movements.
- Leads and drives an efficient inventory management system to optimize utilization of company resources and ensure inventory is kept at optimum level to meet business requirements.
- Timely reporting of the inventory on all project sites.
- Initiates recommendation for disposal of all used and obsolete items to his Superiors.
- Ensures all items stored in the open area are properly covered for protection against inclement weather conditions.
- Leads and ensures smooth / efficient flow and coordination of logistics operations and integration of activities enterprise-wide to provide cost effective reliable service to Drilling Operations / end-users.
- Ensures an effective Transshipment and an efficient Transportation Management.
- Drives the Collaborative Logistics Planning / Processes for inbound and outbound logistics activities at project site level.
- Networks effectively with proponents, BU's counterpart, internal and external resources and various government agencies to meet and exceed proponents' requirements in the areas of productivity, quality, cost, delivery, and safety.
- Identify opportunities for improving inventory management processes and procedures, proposing solutions that enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Stay informed about industry best practices and technological advancements in inventory management, incorporating relevant insights into operations.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the team by sharing knowledge and encouraging innovative thinking.
- Prepare and maintain accurate reports on inventory levels, material usage, and quality control findings, providing insights for decision-making.
- Document and communicate any discrepancies or issues related to inventory and materials to relevant stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory documentation standards for inventory management processes.
- Participate in training initiatives to enhance team members' understanding of inventory management processes and best practices.
- Support the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for inventory management, ensuring all team members are well-versed in practices.
- Foster a culture of learning and development within the team, encouraging team members to pursue continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Executes health, security, environmental and safety rules and regulations of the company.
- Practices recommended behaviors that adhere to the core values of the company.
- Implements and complies with company rules and policies.
