Position Description
We are seeking a full-time (40 hours per week) freelance contractor to work with one of our clients. As a Creative Strategist, you will lead the vision, development, and performance of creative projects across various industries, including SaaS, eCommerce, and education. You’ll own the creative direction—from auditing and briefing to strategy and iteration—and act as the key creative advisor to clients. This role combines analytical thinking, deep knowledge of paid media, and creative leadership to drive performance through testing and innovation. You’ll work closely with media buyers, designers, editors, and clients to deliver high-impact campaigns that convert.
About the work
- Own and build paid ad creative strategies rooted in iterative testing
- Lead creative kick-off calls, client communications, and alignment meetings
- Analyze ad libraries, competitors, and past performance to extract insights
- Craft clear, data-informed creative briefs for designers and editors
- Approve and QA creative outputs; manage the feedback loop
- Partner with media buyers to identify refresh timing and upsell opportunities
- Educate clients on the rationale behind creative direction and performance metrics
- Use AI tools to ideate and streamline strategy development
- Contribute to pitch decks, internal creative leadership, and prospect strategy
- Work cross-functionally to ensure campaigns align with client goals and KPIs
Boxes to check
- 5+ years of experience in creative strategy or paid media
- Experience in SaaS, eCommerce, or education verticals
- Deep understanding of paid advertising strategy and performance metrics
- Strong analytical skills with a strategic mindset
- Proficiency in communicating and presenting to clients
- Leadership experience managing designers/editors and guiding creative execution
- Familiarity with ad platforms (Meta, Google, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.)
- Comfortable using AI and emerging tools to enhance speed and strategy
- Strong problem-solving skills, humility, tenacity, and a team-first mentality
About the role
- Full-time position at $20/hr, working 40 hours per week
- Night shifts with fixed weekends off (fixed working hours to be discussed with the client)
