Cutting Operator sets up and operates machinery, like presses, shears, or lasers, to cut various materials, such as paper, metal, or plastic, according to specifications. Key responsibilities include machine setup, operation, quality checks, routine maintenance, data recording, and adherence to safety procedures to ensure precise, high-quality output. Key Responsibilities
- Machine Operation: Start, monitor, and stop cutting machines by pressing buttons, pulling levers, or using pedals.
- Material Handling: Feed stock into machines, guide it, and remove finished or scrap materials from the machinery.
- Setup & Adjustments: Set up machinery, install blades or dies, and make necessary adjustments to ensure products meet quality standards and specifications.
- Quality Control: Inspect cut pieces for defects, such as improper cuts or flaws, and sort them according to specifications.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, lubrication, and minor repairs on cutting equipment.
- Documentation: Record production data, including types, quantities, and dimensions of materials cut.
- Safety: Adhere to safety rules, guidelines, and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.
