II. JOB SUMMARY
The Sales Data Analyst is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting sales data to provide actionable insights that support sales strategy, performance monitoring, and business decision-making. This role bridges the gap between data and sales execution by enabling sales teams to optimize efforts, improve revenue generation, and understand customer behavior.
III. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Collect, clean, and analyze sales data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy and relevance.
2. Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate key metrics and trends.
3. Interpret data to identify patterns, correlations, and opportunities for sales growth.
4. Collaborate with sales teams to translate insights into strategic actions.
5. Monitor sales performance against targets and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
6. Support forecasting and planning activities with data-driven insights.
7. Conduct ad-hoc analyses to address specific business questions or challenges.
IV. MINIMUM JOB SPECIFICATIONS
A. Education/License: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field.
B. Years and Type of Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in data analysis, preferably in a sales or business environment.
C. Related Skills/Knowledge:
1. Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and BI platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
2. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
3. Ability to communicate complex data insights clearly and effectively.
4. Knowledge of sales processes and KPIs is a plus.
5. Sales Aptitude
D. Basic Training Requirement:
- Training in advanced Excel functions, basic SQL queries, and data visualization tools.
V. ACCOUNTABILITIES
The Sales Data Analyst is accountable for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of all sales data used for reporting and analysis. He/she is responsible for delivering clear and actionable insights that support strategic decision-making and enhance sales performance. The analyst must monitor key sales metrics, identify trends, and provide recommendations that contribute to revenue growth and operational efficiency. He/she is expected to collaborate effectively with sales teams and management, communicate findings clearly, and maintain the confidentiality and integrity of sensitive data in compliance with company policies and data protection regulations.
