Account Specific Roles and Responsibilities:
- Perform accurate data entry for claims submission in accordance with insurance guidelines
- Verify patient information using insurance portals to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Handle and process prior authorizations as required by insurance providers
- Cross-check and validate insurance eligibility, coverage, and plan details
- Ensure timely and compliant submission of medical claims
- Coordinate with relevant departments to gather missing or incomplete information
- Maintain and update patient records and documentation accurately
- Follow up on pending claims or prior authorization requests as needed
- Adhere to data privacy policies and HIPAA regulations
Requirements
- Above average verbal and written English communication skills
- Healthcare experience is required, preferably in a BPO or clinical setting
- Experience in medical claims and prior authorizations is preferred but not mandatory
- Basic knowledge of medical and diagnosis codes (ICD/CPT) is an advantage
- Strong attention to detail
- Must demonstrate the ability to work with accuracy and efficiency in data-sensitive tasks
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, client-focused environment
