Job Summary
District Sales Manager are the extension of authority of the Management to the field employees such as Trade Sales Representatives or Wholesale Salesman Representative. DSM’s provides assistance and leadership to its subordinates and makes sure that the employees are doing the necessary job even on the field.
Duties and Responsibilities
Management and Supervision
Provides direction to the team members in handlingproducts;
Coordinates team works with other Sales Marketing Division and Other Departments;
Ensures control of operation within assigned area of responsibility;
Informs, clarifies and enforces teammates of company plans, programs and policy;
Provides positive role model (PRM) and example of company mission & values;
Takes initiatives and responsibility for the success of his team;
Instills discipline and solves problems;
Gives feedback to superiors and others on developments within his area of responsibility;
Provides sales strategy that will be beneficial to the company;
Recommends changes in programs, procedures and personnel assignments;
Speaks and represent the management to his team members and vice versa;
Advices, encourages and inspires teammates;
Gives feedback to team members on their performance;
Trains, guides and develops subordinates;
Encourages unity, optimism, and high morale among team members;
Sales and Distribution
Assists team members in the attainment of sales and distribution objectives;
Ensures Trade Sales Plan is disseminated to members;
Submits weekly update report on overdue and bad debt review and set plan of action;
Covers special accounts/customer of the company like MDC and other accounts that will be assigned;
Performs the specific functions of the TSR in the area of responsibilities in the absence or lack of manpower of the latter;
Provides administrative task by monitoring submission of DCR, AR, weekly activity report and other complied forms or report as necessary by TSR.
Provide assistance to the BDM in analyzing and creating game plan to comply with the directives and requirement of the Department Head and Management for Business Units;
Customer Services
Ensures new accounts have fully accomplished the customer information sheet and all the necessary requirements.
Ensures trade sales plan are disseminated to customers.
Educate and encourage customers to comply with company procedures.
Build rapport to customers and be knowledgeable of the areas.
Perform other duties and responsibilities directed by the supervisor and management as the need arise.
Others
Supports the National Sales Manager and Sales Director in developing programs, policies and procedures relative to the improvement of the Department and its services;
Abides by the company rules and regulations implemented with regards to policies and procedures, quality management, and in the Employee’s Handbook; and
Performs other duties that may be assigned by the National Sales Manager or Sales Director

Educational Requirements
Post-Graduate studies or a graduate of Business Management or any equivalent course
