Job Summary:
The Elevator Operator ensures the safe and efficient transport of patients, hospital staff, equipment, and visitors using hospital elevators. The role requires attentiveness, courtesy, and strict adherence to hospital safety and sanitation protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate hospital elevators efficiently, prioritizing patients (especially those on stretchers or wheelchairs), doctors, and emergency needs.
- Assist patients, elderly, and visitors in entering and exiting the elevator safely.
- Ensure smooth coordination with nursing or transport staff during patient transfers.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper ventilation inside the elevator.
- Follow infection control guidelines, especially when transporting patients.
- Report mechanical issues or elevator malfunctions immediately to the Engineering or Maintenance Department.
- Maintain professionalism and provide courteous assistance at all times.
Qualifications:
- At least High School graduate.
- Experience in a hospital or similar setting is an advantage.
- Physically fit and able to stand for long hours.
- With basic knowledge of hospital safety and hygiene practices.
- Trustworthy, courteous, and alert under pressure.
