We are seeking an experienced and visionary Executive Chef to lead our culinary research and development, as well as overseeing production of our exquisite chocolate-based products. This pivotal role requires a creative culinary leader with a deep passion for chocolate, a keen eye for quality, and the ability to inspire and manage a high-performing kitchen team. You will be instrumental in shaping our product portfolio, driving innovation, and maintaining the highest standards of culinary excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Innovation & Development:
- Lead the research, development, and refinement of new and existing chocolate products, including bonbons, truffles, pastries, desserts, baked goods, and savory applications incorporating chocolate.
- Develop seasonal collections and special edition products that align with market trends and company vision.
- Conduct sensory evaluations and refine recipes to ensure optimal flavor, texture, and visual appeal.
- Kitchen Operations & Management:
- Oversee all aspects of daily kitchen operations, ensuring efficiency, productivity, and adherence to production schedules.
- Implement and maintain strict quality control standards for all ingredients, processes, and finished products.
- Manage kitchen inventory, optimize purchasing, and control food costs to meet budgetary goals.
- Team Leadership & Development:
- Recruit, train, mentor, and supervise a team of chocolatiers, pastry chefs, and kitchen staff.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages creativity, growth, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Quality & Compliance:
- Ensure strict adherence to all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation regulations (HACCP, local health codes).
- Maintain detailed records of recipes, production batches, inventory, and quality checks.
- Collaboration & Strategy:
- Work closely with the marketing and sales teams to align product development with market demands and promotional strategies.
- Contribute to strategic planning for the culinary department, identifying opportunities for growth and efficiency.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, new techniques, and emerging ingredients in the culinary and chocolate world.
