The Extruder Machine Assistant is responsible for supporting the operation and maintenance of the extruder machine to ensure efficient production of high-quality feed products. This role assists in machine setup, monitoring, and troubleshooting under the supervision of the Production Supervisor at EDL Farms and Feed Manufacturing, Inc. (EFFMI).
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Assist in operating the extruder machine by setting up equipment, adjusting parameters, and monitoring production runs.
· Ensure product quality by inspecting output for consistency, texture, and moisture levels.
· Maintain efficient workflow by monitoring raw material input and assisting in loading ingredients into the extruder.
· Prevent machine downtime by performing basic maintenance, cleaning, and troubleshooting issues.
· Assist in tracking production data by recording machine performance, production output, and any operational issues.
· Ensure adherence to safety and operational procedures by following company policies and industry best practices.
· Support the Quality Assurance Team by collecting and submitting product samples for testing.
· Maintain cleanliness in the work area by regularly cleaning equipment and surrounding production spaces.
· Report any equipment malfunctions or process deviations to the Production Supervisor for immediate action.
· Participate in training programs to improve machine operation knowledge and production efficiency.
· Contribute to achieving departmental objectives by performing additional duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Educational Level:
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training preferred
Degree / Course:
Technical or vocational training in machine operations or related fields preferred
Behavioral Competencies:
Attention to detail, teamwork, problem-solving, ability to work under pressure
Technical Skills:
Basic knowledge of extruder machine operations, troubleshooting, and feed production processes
Years of Related Experience:
At least 1 year of experience in machine operation or feed production
