1. Tooling Fabrication & Maintenance
Supervise the fabrication, repair, and preventive maintenance of jigs, fixtures, and checker panels.
Ensure all tools are built or maintained according to design specifications and production schedules.
Address issues related to tool damage, wear, or design changes based on feedback from production and quality teams.
Keep records of tooling maintenance and usage history.
2. Materials & Parts Management
Monitor and ensure the availability of all required materials, components, and parts needed for fabrication tasks.
Coordinate with warehouse, purchasing, or engineering departments to request or replenish parts as needed.
Maintain a basic inventory of consumables and spare parts used in jig and fixture fabrication and repair.
Prevent delays in tooling preparation due to material shortages.
3. Production Support
Support assembly operations by providing well-maintained and ready-to-use tools.
Respond quickly to tooling-related issues raised by production or quality teams.
Assist in the improvement of existing tooling to enhance usability, efficiency, or accuracy.
4. Team Supervision & Coordination
Supervise a team of fabrication technicians and toolmakers.
Assign daily tasks and ensure work is completed with quality and safety in mind.
Train and guide team members in fabrication techniques and company standards.
Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to address tooling-related concerns.
