Responsibilities:
- Monitoring the Accounting team
- Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and implement financial plans, budgets, and forecasts in alignment with the organization's strategic goals and objectives. Conduct financial analysis, variance analysis, and performance monitoring to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Financial Reporting and Compliance: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, in compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Ensure compliance with tax laws, financial regulations, and reporting requirements imposed by regulatory authorities.
- Budget Management: Manage the budgeting process, working closely with department heads to develop annual budgets and monitor budget vs. actual performance. Analyze budget variances and provide explanations and recommendations for corrective actions as needed. Implement cost control measures and identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor cash flow projections and manage cash flow requirements to ensure adequate liquidity for operational needs and investment opportunities. Optimize cash management processes, including cash collections, disbursements, and treasury operations.
- Financial Systems and Controls: Implement and maintain financial systems, policies, and internal controls to safeguard assets, ensure accuracy of financial data, and prevent fraud and errors.Review and update financial procedures and controls to improve efficiency and mitigate risks.
- Investment and Capital Management: Evaluate investment opportunities and provide recommendations for capital allocation and investment decisions. Manage capital expenditures, including the evaluation of investment proposals, budgeting, and tracking of project expenses.Monitor capital markets and economic trends to identify risks and opportunities for optimizing investment returns.
- Financial Leadership and Team Management: Provide leadership and direction to the finance team, including goal setting, performance management, and professional development.Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the finance department. Serve as a strategic partner to other departments, offering financial expertise and support to facilitate decision-making and achieve organizational objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CPA designation preferred.
- years of progressive experience in finance, accounting, or related field, with demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience.
- Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial analysis techniques.
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, Excel, and financial management software.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
- Experience in the implementation or improvement of financial processes and systems is a plus.
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm
- Saturday 8am - 12nn
