Job Summary:
The Finance and Accounting Manager is responsible for overseeing the financial health and accounting operations of the organization. This role plays a key part in driving financial planning, budgeting, and reporting while ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements. The position involves analyzing financial data, preparing insightful reports, and providing recommendations to support strategic decision-making. The manager also leads and develops a team of accounting professionals to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and integrity in all financial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the finance and accounting department
- Lead the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Develop, implement, and monitor budgets and financial forecasts
- Ensure compliance with tax laws, financial regulations, and internal policies
- Perform variance analysis and provide insights to support management decisions
- Coordinate internal and external audits
- Maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets
- Supervise and mentor a team of accountants and finance staff
- Collaborate with other departments to align financial goals with business strategies
- Provide financial reports and advice to senior management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred)
- Proven experience as a Finance Manager or Accounting Manager ( 5+ years)
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
