Job Summary:
The Finance and Accounting Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and leading the cost analysis and budgeting functions of the organization. This role plays a key part in supporting strategic decision-making through strong analytical insights, particularly in product costing, margin analysis, and financial forecasting.
Key Responsibilities: Accounting & Financial Reporting
- Supervise daily accounting transactions including AR, AP, GL, bank reconciliation, and payroll entries.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Maintain compliance with local tax regulations and financial reporting standards .
Costing & Analysis
- Lead the preparation and analysis of product costing, standard costing, and variance reporting.
- Monitor actual costs against budgets and forecasts; provide insights and recommendations to improve profitability.
- Analyze inventory movements, material usage, and overhead allocation to support operational cost control.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Assist in the development of annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
- Prepare financial models, cash flow projections, and scenario analysis for management decision-making.
- Monitor budget performance and support variance explanations to leadership.
Internal Controls & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and recommend improvements.
- Support audits (internal and external) by preparing schedules and responding to queries.
- Implement best practices in financial and operational controls.
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of work.
- Coordinate with other departments (e.g., Sales, Operations, Procurement) to gather financial data and improve cost management.
- Promote continuous improvement in financial processes and systems.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or Finance;
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in accounting and finance, with supervisory experience.
- Strong background in cost accounting, financial analysis, and manufacturing or product-based industry preferred.
- Proficient in ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, financial modeling).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
