Job Summary:
The Finance Officer – Accounts Payable is responsible for overseeing the timely and accurate processing of payables, invoice validation, petty cash handling, and financial reporting. The role supports the company’s compliance, budgeting, and financial planning functions, requiring a solid foundation in accounting and strong coordination skills.
Key Responsibilities :
Accounts Payable & Petty Cash Management
- Process invoices, prepare payments, and maintain accurate AP records.
- Monitor and reconcile petty cash disbursements, replenishments, and documentation.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to resolve billing issues.
Invoice Verification & Auditing
- Validate completeness, accuracy, and documentation of all invoices.
- Ensure adherence to company policies before endorsing payments.
- Follow up on incomplete submissions or discrepancies with departments.
BIR Compliance & Tax Coordination
- Prepare VAT, withholding, and income tax filings (1601-EQ, 2550M/Q, etc.).
- Maintain tax records and assist with audits or BIR inquiries.
- Liaise with the external accountant for submissions and compliance.
Budgeting & Financial Monitoring
- Assist in preparing annual budgets and forecasts with department inputs.
- Track spending, analyze variances, and report on budget utilization.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and support financial controls.
Coordination & Support to Management
- Provide financial data to support decisions and evaluate expenditures.
- Coordinate with the external accountant on adjustments and reports.
- Stay informed of tax and regulatory updates affecting operations.
