Job Summary
The Finance Operations Accountant is responsible for managing cash collections, verifying transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with accounting policies and internal controls. Additionally, the role supports budgeting, financial reporting, audits, tax compliance, and process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in cash management operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Receive and verify remitted cash and collection receipts from dispatchers or field collectors.
- Sort, count, and confirm large sums received via cash, checks, or transfers.
- Encode and maintain accurate cash management records, ensuring compliance with financial standards.
- Verify daily kiosk records against actual cash collected and report discrepancies.
- Assist with audits, documentation, and financial reporting.
- Support cash management across offices and special projects when needed.
- Secure cash, update expense ledgers, and reconcile transactions with deposits and accounts payable.
- Prepare reports, monitor budgets, and assist in forecasting.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws, financial regulations, and security protocols.
- Maintain organized financial records for audits and internal reviews.
- Identify process improvements and perform other assigned duties
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or Financial Management or related field
- 1 Experience in Accounting and Finance field is preferred
