We are seeking a detail-oriented Finance Analyst with strong analytical skills and high sense of responsibility to join our Interest Assessment Team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and processing interest charges related to late customer payments, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely communication. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support accurate financial reporting and effective customer engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze customer agreements and account activity to identify and apply interest charges in accordance with company policies.
- Ensure accurate documentation and processing of interest-related transactions within financial systems.
- Oversee the end-to-end interest charge process to ensure timely and successful completion.
- Prepare and communicate clear, accurate correspondence with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Conduct interest assessments to support decision-making processes.
- Monitor outstanding balances and assist in resolving interest-related inquiries or disputes.
- Contribute to the enhancement of interest charge procedures, tools, and reporting capabilities.
- Generate reports and maintain monitoring tools related to interest charges, collections, and account status.
- Support compliance with internal controls and applicable financial regulations.
- Assist with ad-hoc assignments and special initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or a similar role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with financial systems (SAP is an asset).
- Strong analytical skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial processing and reporting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining quality.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
