This investment will scale Vault's SECRET Cloud and introduce new services such as the AUKUS cloud capability, directly addressing Australia's strategic national security demands. Due to our team expanding, we are looking for a Financial Controller to join our Corporate team to manage the end-to-end Financial Accounting function of the business. The role is fully remote and is a unique opportunity as the role is new to the business with the existing function having been carried out by the CFO and the existing team.
You will be responsible for:
- Owning the end-to-end general ledger processes including AP/AR, payroll, BAS, journal entries, and reconciliations. Support CFO and FP&A with board reporting, forecasting, and analysis.
- Leading monthly project costing, departmental reporting, and support R&D tax rebate calculations and submissions.
- Overseeing company-wide purchase order compliance and administration.
- Managing finance systems and drive continuous improvement of policies and procedures.
- Serving as the main contact for external auditors, tax advisors, and consultants to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
To be successful you will be able to demonstrate with:
- Bachelor degree in commerce and/or accounting
- CPA qualification
- Ex Big 4 / Second Tier Accounting Firm Deal Advisory/Transaction Services or Business Services Senior Manager / Associate Director with 7+ years post qualified experience OR Existing FP&A Lead or 2IC with 10+ years experience supporting an Australian or prominent International business
- Strong working knowledge of Australian payroll and GST legislation
- Proven experience managing offshore teams and building relationships with stakeholders across a business, along with the management of external auditors and tax consultants
- Deep experience and strong skillset with respect to budgeting, forecasting and analytics, including advanced financial modelling skills
- Ability to prepare and analyse financial management reports
- Ability to prepare ad-hoc reports/analysis
- Experience/comfortable working in a fast moving start-up / scale-up environment
