About the Role
We are seeking a Financial Planning Analyst (CPA) to join our team. Reporting directly to the CEO/Founder, this role is crucial in providing financial insights, strategic planning, and budget management to drive informed business decisions. You will be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis to ensure financial stability and growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Variance Analysis: Collect and analyze variance reports across departments, providing insights for top management decision-making.
- Strategic Financial Planning: Develop, analyze, and recommend annual and quarterly financial plans, including trend analysis and forecasting.
- Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Lead the preparation of budgets, coordinating with departments to align with strategic objectives.
- Conduct budget reviews and provide status updates to key stakeholders.
- Develop 3-year and 5-year financial budgets and forecasts to support strategic decision-making.
- Scenario Analysis: Prepare profit and loss projections for new ventures or expansions, aiding strategic business decisions.
- Financial & Operational Performance:
- Produce and present data-driven financial analyses to support executive decision-making.
- Implement processes to enhance financial reporting and forecasting capabilities.
- Use data analysis to challenge existing practices and drive innovation.
- Regulatory Compliance & Internal Controls: Ensure budgeting processes comply with regulatory requirements and maintain strong internal controls.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the CEO and department heads to align financial strategies with overall company goals.
What We're Looking For
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with a strong foundation in financial and management accounting principles.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and finance-based modeling.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify financial performance opportunities.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across departments and senior management.
- Experience in long-term financial planning and scenario analysis.
