The Financial Reporting Supervisor oversees the preparation and distribution of financial reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. This role includes conducting variance analysis, assisting in budget preparation, and handling complex accounting transactions. The supervisor collaborates with internal departments, external auditors, and senior management to maintain transparency in financial disclosures and support strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities :
-Financial Reporting & Compliance
-Supervise the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
-Ensure compliance with GAAP.
-Review financial reports for accuracy and completeness before submission to management or external stakeholders
-Coordinate with auditors during annual and quarterly audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
-Process Improvement & Internal Controls
-Establish and maintain internal controls to ensure financial data integrity.
-Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting efficiency
-Build accounting manual for financial policies, procedures, and reporting processes.
-Regulatory & Management Reporting
-Leads the preparation of quarterly and annual financial disclosures for investors and regulatory bodies.
-Work closely with Finance Operations to reconcile financial statements and ensure reporting accuracy
-Prepare ad-hoc financial analysis and reports for management as required.
-Handling Complex Accounting Transactions
-Oversee and review complex accounting transactions, including consolidations, revenue recognition, lease accounting, intercompany transactions, and foreign currency adjustments
-Ensure proper accounting treatment in compliance with GAAP/IFRS and company policies.
-Provide guidance to the finance team on handling accounting estimates and judgments
-Variance Analysis & Budget Preparation
-Conduct variance analysis by comparing actual financial results to budgeted and forecasted figures.Identify key financial trends, discrepancies, and areas of improvement, providing actionable insights to management.
-Assist in the annual budgeting process, collaborating with department heads to prepare accurate forecasts.
-Monitor budget performance throughout the year and recommend adjustments as needed.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
-Certified Public Accountant
-2 years audit background attention to detailIn-depth understanding of accounting principles and standards
-Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
