Job Summary:
The Fixed Asset Associate is responsible for managing and maintaining the company's fixed asset records, ensuring accuracy in the fixed asset register, and facilitating the financial reporting and analysis related to fixed assets. This role supports the procurement, tracking, and disposal of fixed assets in accordance with company policies and accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Asset Management:
- Maintain and update the fixed asset register to ensure all assets are accurately recorded.
- Track the acquisition, depreciation, and disposal of fixed assets, ensuring compliance with accounting standards (e.g., GAAP or IFRS).
- Conduct periodic physical inventory counts of fixed assets to verify accuracy and existence.
2. Financial Reporting:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports related to fixed assets.
- Analyze fixed asset data and provide insights to support decision-making by management.
3. Documentation:
- Ensure proper documentation and records are maintained for all fixed asset transactions, including purchase orders, invoices, and disposal records.
- Coordinate with various departments to gather data for fixed asset audits.
4. Compliance & Policy Adherence:
- Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures regarding fixed asset management and reporting.
- Assist in preparing for internal and external audits related to fixed assets.
5. Support:
- Liaise with the finance and accounting departments to resolve any discrepancies related to fixed assets.
- Provide support in the development and implementation of fixed asset policies and procedures.
6. Training and Development:
- Participate in training sessions to stay updated with fixed asset management best practices and accounting regulations.
- Assist in training staff on fixed asset policies and procedures as necessary.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 1 year of experience in fixed asset accounting or a related field.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations related to fixed assets.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., ERP systems).
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: Php17,000.00 - Php18,000.00 per month
