We are presently seeking for General Accountant who shall support the global entity for posting general ledger transactions that may be transferred to Asia.
Main Responsibilities:
I. General Ledger Accounting
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts using SAP.
- Performs month-end and year-end closing processes (FI-GL).
- Posts journal entries (manual and recurring) with appropriate documentation.
- Ensures accuracy of financial records and compliance with IFRS/GAAP.
II. Fixed Assets & Accruals:
- Collaborates with the FA team for depreciation postings and asset accounting entries.
- Books accruals, provisions, and prepaid expenses as part of period-end processes.
- Provides required reports for the site users.
III. Account Reconciliations:
- Performs balance sheet reconciliations.
- Investigates and resolves variances in a timely manner.
IV. Audit & Compliance:
- Supports respective sites for internal and external audits.
- Ensures compliance with SOX controls, corporate policies, and internal procedures.
V. Continuous Improvement:
- Participates in process standardization and automation initiatives.
- Identifies opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce manual work.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience in general ledger or accounting role with shared service function environment from a manufacturing industry.
- Strong working knowledge of major ERP systems, SAP (FI module) is preferred.
- Good understanding of accounting principles (IFRS/GAAP).
- Proficiency in MS Excel and financial reporting tools.
- Analytical mindset and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Responsible and professional in dealing.
- Continuous improvement mindset.
